Company COVID-19 Policy

Policy & Practices

It is the policy of Coppermill Ltd to ensure and protect the health and safety of employees and any other persons connected with the operations of the Company due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

Customers, Delivery Drivers, Contractors, and all other non-employees shall not be permitted on site unless following strict Company health and safety practices, which are in line with the current Government guidelines towards being a Covid secure workplace.

All staff are asked to wear appropriate PPE, including (but not limited to) face coverings in office or non-ventilated spaces, latex gloves when handling materials (changed at least twice a day), maintaining a 2-meter distance from other employees when working at fixed machines, and observing social distancing at all other times whilst on site.

All staff are required to clean/disinfect their workspaces daily, wash their hands thoroughly upon arrival, and are encouraged to repeat this regularly throughout the day. Hospital grade Antibacterial hand sanitizer can be found in all communal spaces, on all work desks, and within 10 meters of all machinery.

In the event of a member of staff showing any symptoms of Covid, they are asked to stay at home and contact HR in the first instance, and to book a test. In the event of a positive result, staff will be required to self-isolate and not attend work with immediate effect, maintain regular communication related to further test results, and not return to work until it is mutually agreed that it is safe to do so.

Order Processing & Current Challenges

We are open for business as normal, though some product lines have limited availability meaning it can take longer to process and dispatch some orders. Our stock relies on the health of the Hospitality Sector, and during the recent Lockdowns this has severely affected the flow of raw materials.

Further to this, we are currently working with reduced staffing with many currently furloughed or working from home.

We kindly ask all customers to be patient and confident that their order is being processed and dispatched as quickly and efficiently as possible.

Delivery

We are in direct and regular communication with our chosen delivery companies. At present, both Parcelforce Ltd and ELB Partners Ltd are operating with a reduced workforce due to the Pandemic, and are fulfilling as many deliveries within the expected timeframe as possible.

At this time some orders may take a day or two longer to reach their destination, we ask that Customers who require an update on their order get in touch either by phone or email, and a member of the team will be more than happy to track your items and provide any update on the status of your order.
